End User License Agreement
Effective September 19, 2026
1. Agreement and scope
This End User License Agreement, or EULA, governs your licensed use of Socket Sam software, including the Socket Sam web application, progressive web application, native mobile applications, and related software components. This EULA works together with the Socket Sam Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
2. License grant
Subject to this EULA and any applicable subscription terms, Socket Sam grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use Socket Sam for your own lawful business operations during an active trial or subscription. The software is licensed, not sold.
3. Authorized users
You may permit employees, technicians, office staff, managers, and other authorized members of your business to use Socket Sam through accounts and permissions made available by the service. You are responsible for controlling access to your organization, protecting credentials, and promptly removing access that is no longer authorized.
4. Permitted business use
Socket Sam may be used to manage customers, vehicles and equipment, service orders, scheduling, estimates, invoices, payments, reminders, parts and products, expenses, service history, diagnostic records, photos, signatures, communications, reports, customer portals, and other supported repair-business workflows.
5. License restrictions
Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you may not copy or redistribute Socket Sam as a competing product, sell or sublicense access to the software, bypass subscription or security controls, attempt unauthorized access to another company's data, introduce malicious code, interfere with the service, scrape or extract the software for the purpose of cloning it, or reverse engineer protected portions of the software.
6. Ownership
Socket Sam and its software, branding, interface, documentation, databases, and underlying technology remain the property of Socket Sam and its licensors. This EULA grants permission to use the software and does not transfer ownership of the software or its intellectual property.
7. Your data
You retain your rights in business records and other content you submit to Socket Sam. You authorize Socket Sam to host, process, transmit, back up, and otherwise handle that information as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service. Your use of customer information must comply with applicable law and your own obligations to those customers.
8. Third-party services
Socket Sam may work with third-party services such as payment processors, cloud storage providers, email and messaging providers, mapping services, vehicle-data sources, and app marketplaces. Those services may have their own terms and availability limits. Socket Sam does not control third-party networks or guarantee that an outside service will always be available.
9. Repairs, diagnostics, and professional judgment
Socket Sam is an operational software tool. VIN information, diagnostic trouble code information, service history, reminders, calculations, customer-entered information, and other software output can be incomplete or incorrect and do not replace manufacturer service information, qualified mechanical judgment, safety procedures, inspections, regulatory requirements, or professional advice. You remain responsible for repair decisions and work performed.
10. Updates and changes
Socket Sam may be updated, repaired, expanded, or changed over time. Updates may add, change, replace, or remove features where reasonably necessary to maintain security, compatibility, reliability, legal compliance, or the continued development of the service.
11. Subscription and termination
Your license is tied to your right to use the Socket Sam service. Access may end when a trial or subscription ends, when an account is closed, or when access is suspended or terminated under the Terms & Conditions. Upon termination, you must stop using licensed software and credentials that no longer authorize access.
12. App marketplace terms
If you obtain a Socket Sam application through an app marketplace, the marketplace's applicable usage rules and terms also apply. The marketplace provider is not responsible for Socket Sam's maintenance, support, business services, or customer relationships except to the extent required by that marketplace's own terms or applicable law.
13. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Socket Sam is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, that every feature will be error-free, or that software output will be appropriate for every repair, business, tax, legal, accounting, safety, or regulatory situation. Rights that cannot legally be disclaimed remain unaffected.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Socket Sam is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the software, business interruption, third-party failures, lost opportunities, customer disputes, or decisions made from software output. Nothing in this EULA limits liability or remedies that applicable law does not permit to be limited.
15. Relationship to other Socket Sam terms
The Terms & Conditions govern the broader Socket Sam service, account, subscription, and communications relationship. The Privacy Policy governs privacy practices. If a provision of this EULA conflicts with a mandatory right under applicable law, that mandatory right controls.
16. Changes to this EULA
This EULA may be updated as Socket Sam, applicable law, marketplace requirements, or service features change. The effective date above identifies the currently published version.
